This note is to a few friends and family to inform that Betty Morgan passed away July 15, 2003 at approximately 7pm PST. Nursing staff informed us earlier in the day that she was fading and to come in if we wanted to be with her when she passed. We got to be with her one last time for a short time before she passed away. It ultimately is a blessing for her and us as no one wanted her to suffer.
When arrangements for memorial service have been finalized we will get the word out.
To those who loved and cared for her we are grateful and appreciate everyones support and prayers.
This email list is very short so please pass on the information to those you know who are friends of Betty.
I can be reached at tscotto92@hotmail.com.
Thank you,
Terry Cotton and family

From: "KING LEONARD" 4July03  Hi Guys!

I had a sad note from one of the Cotton kids (Betty Lou Morgan's second husband was a Cotton). I guess she has invasive lung cancer which has spread to the liver. They cut the nerves to kill the pain, but she can't last long. That was on June 22nd and I haven't been home since then so am just getting that msg. But I talked to her briefly about then so I knew there was a problem but hesitated to say anything because Doctor had not fully diagnosed and was due to complete tests that Friday. They just don't expect her to last very long. I keep hoping she will pull out........she was in tears when I last talked to her and could only tell me that she was in terrible pain. I'll try calling there again. She was an inspiring but also tragic figure. We had a very long conversation going over several years about what her life was like, and of course, it all started with my cursing alcohol (my mom was a heavy drinker, as was Betty Lou). I gave Bert a "heads up" note in June. I guess the two Cotton kids are in Kent WA with her. In spite of all her problems, she became a real strong christian person and contributed a lot to AA. Pray for her! She has paid for all sins here, so she may be one of the first to greet us some day.

All GJHS classmates wish Betty Lou Dyke Morgan improved health and pray for her miraculous recovery.

Sad news this morning. Our sympathies to the family and friends of Betty Lou (Dyke) Morgan.
Terry, thank you for keeping us informed.
Bert

We hope this Sunday school song will cheer everyone.

For us over 40 and you others....Check out this newest version of
"Jesus Loves Me" It is quite cute, so read, sing and enjoy:

                JESUS LOVES ME!

Jesus loves me, this I know,
Though my hair is white as snow.
Though my sight is growing dim,
Still He bids me trust in him.

        (CHORUS)
YES, JESUS LOVES ME...  YES,         JESUS LOVES ME...
YES. JESUS LOVES ME FOR    THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO.

Though my steps are oh, so slow,
With my hand in his I'll go.
On through life, let come what may,
He'll be there to lead the way.

         (CHORUS)  ----

Though I am no longer young,
I have much which He's begun.
Let me serve Christ with a smile,
Go with other's the extra mile.

        (CHORUS) ----

When the nights are dark and long,
In my heart He puts a song.
Telling me in words so clear,
"Have no fear, for I am near."

         (CHORUS) ----

When my work on earth is done,
And life's victories have been won.
He will take me home above,
        Then I'll understand his love

        (CHORUS) ----

I love Jesus, does he know?
Have I ever told Him so?
Jesus loves to hear me say
That I love Him every day.

         (CHORUS) ----

        God Bless All!
