Dear classmates and friends of Gary Schultz,
It’s with great sadness that I must inform you that
Gary
died yesterday, Jan. 2, 2006. Thankfully, he did not suffer
much and went peacefully after his 3 ˝ - month battle with cancer.
His wife Gail called to advise me. Gail sounded strong but
obviously she’s in for some tough times ahead.
Gary
had been under Hospice care for the last few weeks and Gail was at
Gary
’s side and very supportive and caring. His 3 kids, sister,
brother-in-law and niece were with him for most of the past week. He
died in his home in Daphne! , AL.
There will be a memorial service in
Grand Junction
or Glenwood Springs but the time and place has yet to be
determined—probably Friday Jan. 13.
